Loch Linnhe View from the campsite The gf took this picture on the first night at the Loch Linnhe campsite in Corpach. What a treat to see clear blue skies. The locals claim they have had no rain for 6 weeks. They didn't count on us coming then did they...
Ben Nevis in the sunshine Again the gf comes up trumps. Ben Nevis is still managing to hold on to the snow even after 6 weeks with no rain and this sunny day. Gee it must be a long way up there.
Me, my bike and a roadsign at Tongue That's me that is, looking scruffy and unkempt at Tongue. I find my self always wondering what words were taped over on the roadsign.
The gf with Ardvreck castle growing out of her helmet The castle at Ardvreck is actually growing out of the gf's helmet here. It's always a good thing to have a fortified helmet, even if the fort is in ruins.

Having discovered scotland every may our annual trip found us on the island of Mull for the same Bank Holiday weekend and i can confirm that the scotlanders didnt see rain for six weeks here either! We thought it was a pub story!Fantastic senery and great roads for you and gf if you like the twisty bits.Beware of the cliff roads though no room for error but the views are outstanding. This weekend there were lots of twitchers on eagle watch and dont think they appreciated the noise of our bikes.Camping was great and we were plagued with midges, our remidy was staying in the pub,not a good excuse but if the cap fits.
I always wonder if living in these fantastic places is the dream of bikers.Having talked to locals though 9 months of 90mph winds and horizontal rain keeps the population sparce!
Great to here your story hope you can upgrade your bike soon as you deserve to get more trips in with you and your wife.
Thanks again

Paul
