AGV K3 SV Pivot Click (Pt 2)

Blog Date - 07 March 2016

Before you carry on read part one if you haven't already... AGV K3 SV Pivot Click (Pt 1)

So none of the local shops had a suitable tiny piece of plastic in store. After extensive searches online I ordered parts from 2 places. Firstly I ordered from sportsbikeshop.co.uk a "AGV Visor Fitting Kit - Skyline / Horizon / K3-SV". As there was no picture of the item on the website I wasn't quite sure what I would get, I was expecting the full visor mount mechanism for both sides. Including postage this cost me £9.44. Sure enough about 3 or 4 days later a parcel arrived containing the following items...

2 mounting mechanisms for the AGV K3 SV visorOK that's great, the pivot clicks are in there with the mounts.

As you can see I have indeed received the full mechanism for both sides. While this is much more than I needed it does contain 2 pivot clicks as part of the full mounting system. I simply removed the pivot click and inserted it into my own helmet. I now have 2 spare side mounts, minus 1 pivot click. Anyhow at least I am back to wearing the new helmet and not my old spare. Sorted.

When I ordered from Sports Bike Shop I also, just as an experiment, ordered a pack of pivot clicks from Amazon. I only sourced one listing for the pivot clicks, a company called oemcycle Europe. I wasn't 100% sure, there was mention of The Channel Islands, a London address and no sort of "established" feel. However for £10.34 I was promised a pack of 6 pivot clicks, 3 pairs of red, blue and green items.

This took a lot longer to arrive, but fair's fair I was clearly informed of the delivery date and it arrived quite on time. And again despite my doubts the item is exactly as described. So now I have 3 red pivot clicks, as per those that came with the helmet. 2 green ones which offer clicks in different positions and 2 blue ones which appear to have no clicks therefore presumably offer friction to position the visor as I see fit.

So here is some helpful details if you need your own...

The AGV numbers for the full mounting mechanisms are "KIT03017" or "21000582". Look at the image below, there are more numbers that may also be helpful in your search

The AGV number for the pack 3 pairs of pivot clicks is "KIT08601". Again there are other numbers on the packaging that may be helpful.
