Ullapool 2012 - Even More Pictures
The ferry terminal and loading jetty at Ullapool for the Stornoway Ferry.
This small fella was defending his master's trawler with all his energy. I did worry he'd fall into the water.
The water is so clear! IW's done some diving here in the past, he says this area is perfect.
Sexy beast or what... Notes - headnet to keep midges out, tucked into jumper, tucked into pants, tucked into socks. Gloves and boots also required. It keeps the midges off and the women find me IRRESISTABLE!
Spotted on a French Deauville. Now THAT'S what I call a top box! I am working on building my own MONSTER top box soon.
Ullapool's not all harbour and scenery. It's a regular town with ordinary houses where normal people live their lives much like the rest of us.
Looks like an advert for a rugged 4 by 4...
Gairloch in the warm sunshine, whilst down South in England it was raining...again...
Just another one of the single track lanes that lead to another sleepy hamlet in the middle of nowhere.
There has to be something like a rusty old lorry being used as a shed at any harbour worth its salt. This one is at Aultbea.

Was looking for luggage for my 2002 Fazer (Frech camping trip) and happened upon this blog, I love Scotland, I hate the midge, awesome writing and I've been to Ullapool as a 12 year old and it made a big impression on me, even back in the early 80's, I must go back some time :-)
