Not Always Cheaper Online

Blog Date - 02 May 2013

I've been buying parts online for a while now. The given wisdom that buying online is the ONLY way, it's the future, it's the way it will be done from now on. Yet I found myself in a Honda shop killing a little time on a sunny Saturday morning. Out of curiosity I asked the parts department for prices on an air filter, spark plug and wet-side gasket for my CBF 125 as it's dues a good service. He gave me the prices and I quietly wandered off to look at my phone and the online prices. The Honda shop was cheaper!

I promptly ordered the parts. So next time I'm looking for service items and spare parts I think I'll ask at the dealers as well as compare prices online. I never expected them to be even close in price, let alone cheaper.
