France, Germany And Belgium 2012 - Even More Pictures Again
The water pumps at the campsite in Le Nouvion en Thierache. Again it's the little things...
Another ordinary French street. There is a feeling of "space" in these French towns.
Many of the houses in France are a little "worn". This one however is prstine, if a little quirky in it's style.
I'm unsure as to the age or history of the castle at Ambleteuse, it doesn't look ancient.
This is how you get onto the Channel Tunnel train carriages.

I'm just thankful that someone reads my stories, it's even better when someone likes them too.

Spent the last few days reading your trip report and loved it
I had to laugh as I still have a token for the showers at Bastogne camp site - paid for it , moaned just like you at the cheek then didn't use it as the showers looked in a similar state to the toilets
I too took a tent that was to bloody small to save weight wheas my son against my advise took a 3 man and loved it
Your comments on " someone to share it with " and and annoying yourself ring so true as I have done both over the years
Oh and it rained when we were camped in Belgium too
Great report and pics
Thanks
Wayne

I'm glad you enjoyed the story Wayne. I generally take a 3 man tent now even when I'm alone. While I'm not expecting the lap of luxury I need some space to cook, store and shuffle around in. Lesson learned the hard way.
Cheers, Ren.
