South Wales 2017
South Wales is a place neither Sharon or Ren has explored properly. They passed through once a while back but this time they're going to take a proper look and spend a little time there. Let's hope it's as nice as everyone says it is.

With a storm set to cause havoc across the UK is this day the best day to set out on a camping holiday? Maybe not.

It is time to leave the bikes for just one day and set out on foot to explore the tiny city of St Davids. The city is small and pleasant, the cathedral is just sheer delight.

In the land of a thousand coves Sharon and Ren are looking into a handful of them. There's a chance Ren's 500 might not be getting out of one of them though.

Tenby has been much lauded to both Sharon and Ren but now it's time to see if the reality will live up to the hype. Will Tenby be amazing or an amazing flop?

Considering the day was supposed to be a washout Sharon and Ren get to look around the Gower Peninsula in good conditions. There's only one problem with Sharon's perfect beach - the walk back.

While the weather is very much against them Sharon and Ren enjoy the day with new friends and a lot of hot tea. They're heading a little North in South Wales.
Exploring The Brecon Beacons
After yesterday's deluge will the soggy campers get chance to dry out and actually see The Brecon Beacons? Sharon is bleating out some awful sheep puns too.
Epilogue - South Wales 2017
Once again another trip comes to an end and it is time to return to the reality of everyday life. Neither Sharon or Ren are ready for it to be over.

Just read about your South Wales trip and really enjoyed it, not least because it reminded me I when I took my dear old and sadly departed dog Bertie on Rossili beach and he seemed to be completely mesmerised by the vastness of it. At first he didn't know what to do and then he started running around in (more or less) figures of 8 then came and looked at me as if he was saying ""is that what you do?" That was about 15 years ago and we now have another Bertie. Btw our hot tip for a campsite in that part of the world is Eastern Slade Farm at Oxwich, run by a very nice lady called Kate - basic site with a tap and portaloos but only £10 per night. That is for a motorhome so it may be cheaper for a tent. Great views.

I was watching an old Top Gear the other day and they were on Pendine Sands. I thought it would be fabulous to ride the bike on Pendine or Rhossili but alas I believe you need special permission from various authorities.
I've found the Eastern Slade Campsite's website. I'll add a link if for no other reason to remind myself to look this up as and when I'm next down there. Cheers Mike D
