CBF 125 Owners Manual...Yikes!

Blog Date - 15 September 2012

I am rather nieve at times.

My new CBF 125 came without an owner's manual or handbook.  The owner's manual is mostly stuff and nonsense that I already know, like how to use the indicators.  But there's often some useful information in there too.  Service intervals, basic torque settings and maintenance schedules to name just a few.  I decided to visit a Honda dealer and perhaps order an owner's manual.

Obviously I'm living about 30 years in the past.  I thought to myself it's a small black and white booklet, it can't cost much more than a fiver.  PAH!  How wrong can a man be!  £30, yes, thirty of my English pounds sterling.  Haynes sell a manual for the CBF 125 that includes countless pictures, step by step guides on stripping and rebuilding the whole machine, service schedules and all the torque settings.  And the cost?  About £18 off Fleabay.  No contest really.

I know genuine motorcycle spares are costly...I just forget how costly.

Hi John.

Great site, I've already downloaded and saved the information on that page. It is however "incomplete" compared to a full manual.

Cheers!

I manage to pick up a CBF 125 owner's manual off eBay. The only problem is that it looks like it's been swimming in used engine oil.grrrr
