35 mph - Everywhere

...I'm a car driver.  I drive everywhere at 35.  That's 35 in a 30 zone, 35 in a 40, 35 in a 50, I may creep up to 37 in a 60 zone.  My car makes this noise...brrrrrum. Everywhere I go it goes brrrrrum.  If it's not going brrrrrum I'm either going to fast or too slow, I know it should go brrrrum.  

I don't worry about speed limits, unless there's one of those nasty cameras in which case I slow right down to 25, even at night when there's no-one around.  I wait until I get past the camera and then I make the car go brrrrrum again.  My car goes brrrrrum when the traffic's busy too.  I squeeze through tight gaps so the noise it makes still goes brrrrrum, I don't slow down at lights incase it doesn't make that nice brrrrrum noise.  It doesn't matter if I'm passing schools or kids playing in the streets, as long as it goes brrrrrum then I'm obviously not going too fast.

Then when I'm out on the coutryside it goes brrrrrum.  I don't want to go too fast round any nasty bends and crash you understand.  I know I'll be OK as long as it's going brrrrrum.  I know I'm supposed to go a little faster on long straight dual carraigeways so I speed up a little, but I worry a lot because it's not going brrrrrum any more.  Out on the motorways it sounds like the poor engine is about to explode!  So I get off the motorway as soon as I can so it can go back to the nice brrrrrum noise.

Sometimes people behind me seem to get cross.  They're always close behind me and trying to overtake when I'm out in the countryside.  They seem to be in such a rush!  I think that's silly.  When I'm in the town some people drive too slowly!  They potter around at 30mph and stop my car from making it's nice brrrrrum noise.  That makes me cross.  It seems that some people dawdle everywhere and some people drive far too fast.  If everyone kept to a nice sensible speed like me the roads would be so much safer....
